Take your photo booth experience to a whole new level with the magazine Front Cover Photo Booth - an actual walk-in photo booth that makes your customers look like they're on the cover of a real magazine.
The sturdy tube frame assembles quickly to form a cube. Overlay the fabric, and you have a booth. Add the difuse front-lighting system to manage shadows, and you have a 3D experience. Add the black bordering along the front, and you have your realistic magazine cover. But the real treasure is the plexiglass sheet that forms the magazine's "Front Cover." You can stencil your lettering onto it, turning the plexiglass into your magazine of choice - Vogue, Newsweek, even a fictitious magazine cover. The booth's depth also allows you to set up additional props or scenes both foreground and background, creating a wholly realistic magazine Front Cover photo shoot.
The Front Cover Photo Booth is ideal for such occasions as weddings and proms or quinceañeras, where "flashiness" is the fashion. It is also an excellent and entertaining addition to a wide range of events, including corporate and expo (think, a cigar expo where visitors actually do want to look like they're on the cover of Cigar Aficionado).
When considering your Front Cover design, note that the plexiglass sheet area is 78.5" X 78.5" (200cm x 200cm).

The PB Backdrops Vogue Box is designed with built-in LED tube lights mounted at the front, pointing into the box from the top and sides. These create flattering, even illumination from within the enclosure. Because you’re shooting through a plexiglass front panel, controlling reflections, glare, and perspective is essential for professional results.
- Use the Built-In LED Lighting First
- In low-light environments, rely on the internal LED lights as your main light source.
- Continuous lighting minimizes outside reflections and avoids the harsh glare that can occur with added flash.
- Turn off or block other light sources when possible to let the built-in LEDs provide consistent, even illumination.
- Outdoor Use — Avoid Direct Sunlight When Possible
- The Vogue Box is best suited for indoor environments, but if outdoor use is unavoidable, avoid placing it in direct sunlight. Bright sun can overpower the LEDs and create glare on the plexiglass.
- If possible, position the box to take advantage of indirect light — such as a north-facing orientation in the Northern Hemisphere — to provide soft, consistent lighting without harsh shadows.
- If north light isn’t available, choose shaded areas or create shade with diffusion material to maintain even lighting.
- Avoid setups where sunlight changes rapidly (e.g., moving tree shadows) for consistent results.
- Manage Reflections from the Plexiglass Front
- The clear front panel can reflect surrounding light sources, such as bright signage or overhead fixtures.
- Reduce reflections by controlling the environment — close curtains, reposition the box, or block light sources behind the camera.
- Tilting the front or back of the box slightly can help redirect reflections away from the lens.
- Control Camera Position and Lens Choice
- Avoid shooting straight-on if reflections are a problem — try slight upward or downward angles.
- To prevent keystoning (distorted vertical lines), step back and use a longer focal length (70–135mm). This keeps proportions accurate and box edges straight.
- Use a tripod to maintain consistent framing and prevent reintroducing distortion or reflections once the ideal position has been set.
- Add Supplemental Light Only If Needed
- If additional lighting is necessary, use large diffused sources positioned at angles that minimize glare.
- Avoid on-camera flash or other small, harsh lights that create sharp hotspots on the plexiglass.
- Keep the Plexiglass Spotless
- Clean the front panel with a microfiber cloth and anti-static cleaner before each shoot.
- Wearing gloves during setup can help avoid fingerprints and smudges.
Quick Setup Summary
- Use the built-in LEDs as your primary light in low-light or indoor environments.
- If outdoors, avoid direct sunlight — north-facing light is a good alternative when possible.
- Control reflections by adjusting the box’s position and environment.
- Step back, use a longer lens, and secure the camera on a tripod to maintain optimal alignment.
- Use diffused supplemental lighting only when needed.
- Keep the plexiglass clean for the sharpest results.
